Cultural Interventions in the Metro in Paris

In the context of the Paris Metro cultural development, the following interventions were suggested, along three directions to identify the lines and the stations:
We sought to narrate the city’s activities over each station and at every station; the area, its history, its monuments and contemporary activities. Thus, the stations cumulatively will provide a history of Paris to the people travelling on the Metro. Distinguishing characteristics of the Metro: its shape and line through permanent or seasonal cultural interventions. We sought to establish the stations as work of art that will be studied by famous artists. In this way the Metro will form a museum and each different hall will be represented by a station.
The aim of these three directions is to embrace the Paris metro installations in the city, making them more pleasant and interesting to its users.
