Landscape design for a 5.500m2 private coastal garden in Rhodes, Greece

Α hundred meter mulberry alley offers a shaded entrance to the plot while a rose alley leads to the house from the parking area.

Old olive trees and seating areas under the pine trees are surrounded by low aromatic herbs, edible plants and summer fruit trees featuring the Mediterranean zone, whereas a dune planting zone leads to the beach.

Parallel to the preexisting wall fences surrounding the property, a green screen, in a small distance from the fence, operates as a second skin enhancing privacy. A vertical promenade with different levels allows reaching the plants and taking care of them. The promenade leads to an upper level, an observatory, offering a view towards the whole plot and the sea. For the parking shading area, the rose alley and the vertical promenade, a light steel construction has been used.
